Kayla Gorden is an Alumni from Thee Jackson State University. While obtaining a B.S. in Civil Engineering, she marched four years with the Sonic Boom of the South as a member of the Prancing J-Settes; where she served as a two-year captain. She has danced with Ciara in a commercial promoting HBCU’s sponsored by AT&T, and starred in a music video featuring Big K.R.I.T. She has been recognized on social media by Missy Elliot and interviewed with CNN on her dance journey. She teaches majorette all over the world to different dance squads and teams. She is currently in Atlanta, GA pursuing a dance career in Hip Hop, Jazz, Majorette, and more!
Jalin Ford is a dancer, choreographer, and creative director. She began her professional career in 2007 dancing and choreographing for school plays like West Side Story, The Wiz, and more.
Jalin recently graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Marketing from Grambling State University, and was a two year captain of “The Orchesis Dance Company”. She's done many projects such as movies like “Honey” starring Teyanna Taylor. She was even granted an opportunity to represent her HBCU performing for Beyonce in Coachella for the Adidas and Ivy Park collaboration commercial.
Jalin is a mentor and role model to hundreds of girls across the south. She believes that the best way to predict the future is to create it and that is exactly what she plans to do, as well as help others create theirs.
A native of Milwaukee, WI, Torrance Smith Jr studied at the Milwaukee School of Arts majoring in Dance under the direction of Sandra Jordan. While studying at MSA, Torrance attended the Milwaukee Ballet Academy as a Full Scholarship Recipient working with Mr. Karl Von Rabenau to further his education in Dance.
Directly after graduating in 2013, Torrance joined Atlanta Dance Connection under the direction of Allyne D. Gartrell where he has danced the ballets of Christopher Huggins, Richard Freeman-Carter, Kevin Jackson, and TyRell Rolle. Mr. Smith has also worked directly with Michael Jackson, Jr. and Sean Aaron Carmon of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

Coach Troy has been actively involved in competition cheer for 13 years. Ms. Troy went to Callaway High School in LaGrange, Ga., Class of 2012. After graduating, she received a Cheer Scholarship at Brenau University were she studied Biology. During High School she was the Captain of both Soccer & Competition Cheerleading team. Her primary goal as a coach is to help young dancers/cheerleaders fall in love with the sport while also emphasizing form, technique, and discipline.
